Scarlet SRF (ARTG 377041) utilises short-pulse Radiofrequency (RF) energy delivered through fine micro-needles directly into the deep dermis. This controlled delivery of thermal energy creates micro-coagulation zones, triggering the body’s natural wound-healing response to generate fresh collagen and elastin fibers over time.
Because the RF energy is delivered beneath the top layer of skin, treatment can be tailored precisely to different depths and skin concerns while preserving the epidermis.

What to Expect During & After Treatment
Before the Procedure: A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area to manage discomfort during the session.
During the Procedure: You may feel a warm prickling sensation as the RF energy is delivered. Treatment duration typically ranges from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area being treated.
Post-Procedure Recovery: Mild redness, slight localized swelling, and a sensation similar to mild sunburn are typical following treatment. These effects usually subside within 24 to 48 hours. Most clients return to normal daily activities shortly after.

Current or history of skin cancer, or current condition of any type of cancer.
Keloid Scarring Pregnancy and nursing.
Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV.
Use of Accutane within 6 months prior to treatment.
Endocrine diseases, such as diabetes, that have not been well managed as well as patients with pacemakers or other planted devices.
Persons with progressive/active Psoriasis, eczema or chronic rashes.
Pacemaker or metal implants in the bones around the areas to be treated.

We recommend avoiding blood thinners (NSAIDs) for one week. Avoid lasers, LED light treatments or chemical peels for 4 weeks before your treatment. Avoid all skincare products containing retinol for 4 weeks. Discontinue Accutane use 6 months prior to treatment. Drink a lot of water for 4 days before the treatment. Avoid sun tanning, sun exposure and spray-on tanning for 2 weeks before.

At Paulina’s we will recommend DP Dermaceuticals to prepare and post treat your skin. We will customise your skincare depending on your skin concerns and needs. We will recommend post-care for 48-72 hours and add growth factors and hyaluronic acid for quicker healing times. Avoid using any products containing retinol or acid cleansers for 2 weeks. Avoid the sun, sun tanning or spray tanning for 2 weeks after treatment. Always wear an SPF of 25 or greater.

Most clients report only slight discomfort or no pain at all. We can use a topical anesthetic for numbing at no extra cost, however this this to be organised in advanced as application needs to be at least 20 mins before your treatment. Please discuss this in your consultation.

One of the best features of the Scarlet system is its convenience. It was designed with comfort in mind, so side effects are mild and there is no required downtime as to take time off. You can perfectly go back to your normal activities after your treatment. Your skin may appear slightly flushed or swollen immediately after a session. This should fade away within a couple of hours and should not require you to take time off from your daily schedule. DP Dermaceuticals will be recommended to you as your PRE and POST care during your downtime period. We encourage you to minimize sun exposure while you heal, as well as after your treatment to preserve your results.
