Cutera Excel HR treatments

Excel HR treatments are generally well tolerated, often described as a warm rubber band snap on the skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooling plate or conductive gel may be used for extra comfort and better results. Sessions can take as little as5 minutes or up to60 minutes, depending on the area.

After treatment, the skin may look red, pigmentation can appear darker, and a mild sunburn-like feeling is common. These effects usually settle within12–24 hours, although larger areas or more intense lesions may cause temporary swelling.

Some clients may require a single treatment, while others will require ongoing treatments to achieve the best possible results. Your clinician will discuss the expected number of treatments, along with expected results during your consultation.

As a guide, we generally recommend 2-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. For most clients the results are permanent following Excel HR Laser. However genetics, age and lifestyle choices can effect longevity of your results

Who can have this treatment?

Excel HR Laser treatments are not suitable for Fitzpatrick V and VI skin types. Treatment is not suitable to have during pregnancy (fine while breastfeeding).

Excel HR are not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have open wounds, infections, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated.
