Another modalities of this exclusive and sophisticated piece of equipment are the patented Cutera Green Laser Genesis, Cutera Signature Red Laser Genesis, and the The Dermastat handpiece which is a precision tool designed for use with the Cutera Excel V+ laser system. Featuring a small, targeted 2 mm spot size, it allows for highly accurate treatment of small or hard-to-reach vascular and pigmented lesions, including cherry angiomas, telangiectasia, spider veins, skin tags, and sun spots. Its pinpoint precision makes it ideal for delicate areas such as around the eyes, nose, and lips. With minimal discomfort and downtime, the Dermastat ensures quick, effective, and precise results with exceptional safety and control.
Cutera Excel V+
Cutera Excel V+ are usually well tolerated and are described as feeling similar to a warm rubber band snapping against the skin. Most procedures with this device will required the application of conducting gel and a cooling plate may be in contact with the skin to provide improved results and additional comfort.
Treatments can take from as little as 5-10 minutes, or up to 90minutes, depending on the area treated and the choice of treatment. Immediately after your session your skin may reddens and it may feel like sunburn. Usually for as little as 2hrs mins to up to 48hrs. When treating larger areas or dramatic lesions significant swelling can occur. Your skin therapist will provide the pre and post care to help you travel during this procedure. Rosacea redness may decrease after 3-4 weeks. Broken capillaries (spider veins) disappear or go darker, then fade in 1-2 weeks
What do Excel V+ treatments involve?
How many treatments will I need and how long the results will last?
Some clients may require a single treatment, while others will require 2-3 sessions. On going maintenance treatments could be necessary to keep effective the results obtained. Your clinician will discuss the expected number of treatments, along with expected results during your consultation. As a guide, we generally recommend 3-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.For most clients the results are permanent following Excel V+ Laser. However genetics, age and lifestyle choices can effect longevity of your results
Excel V+ Laser treatments are not suitable for Fitzpatric V and VI skin types. Treatment is not suitable to have during pregnancy (fine while breastfeeding). Excel V+ is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 12 months, have open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated.
